AB Chance, the worlds leading manufacturer of helical piles has selected
as one of their Certified AB Chance helical pile installation contractors for Florida. The AB Chance helical anchor/piles are segmented deep foundation systems with helical bearing plates welded to a central steel shaft. Load is transferred from the shaft to the soil through these bearing plates. Other combinations are also available for compression applications in soil conditions where dense/hard soils must be penetrated with softer/loose soils above the bearing strata.
The shaft segments or sections are joined with bolted couplings. The installation depth is limited only by soil density and practicality based on economics. The AB Chance helical bearing plate or helix is one pitch of a screw thread. All of the helices, regardless of their diameter, have a standard 3" pitch. Because they have a true helical shape, the helices do not auger into the soil but rather screw into it with minimal soil disturbance.
The AB Chance helical plates are spaced at distances far enough apart that they function independently as individual bearing elements; consequently, the capacity of a particular helix on a helical anchor/pile shaft is not influenced by the helix above or below it. Call

For stabilizing foundations or retrofitting to increase load capacity, CHANCE Piles are installed at intervals around the perimeter at affected locations.
Independent of the structure, the piles are extended to depths which attain the installing torque correlated to the required load bearing capacity.
Special brackets are located where needed around the perimeter and secured to the concrete foundation.
A pile is then torqued into the soil and connected to each bracket. The brackets permit lifting by hydraulic jacks. Tightening the nuts on the vertical bolts of the bracket locks off the load.
